Dad's Kalandraka P

A father is capable of transforming himself into the most incredible things: tractor, mattress, alarm clock, crane... A book that approaches the relationship of complicity between father and son; that invites both to discover themselves together and strengthen the ties of their family relationship with the turn of each page.

Text and image, perfectly articulated, intertwine a game of affections and affinities between adult and child. From an artistic point of view, the book is committed to a “poetics of suggestion”, encouraging the reader to discover the meaning of each scene, with schematic, simple and sparing designs in colors, which integrate the letter into the illustration. Isabel Martins studied Communication Design at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Lisbon (Portugal).

He developed educational projects in a pedagogical communication agency. He founded the Planeta Tangerina studio, later converted into a publishing house, where he carried out some of his work: texts for children's magazines, scripts for designed band albums and animated films, content for educational services and museums, among other initiatives.

She is also the author of the album “Ovejita dame lana”, which obtained a mention in the Compostela International Illustrated Album Award. Bernardo Carvalho, who also belongs to the Planeta Tangerina team, has extensive experience as an illustrator.
